DESCRIPTION
Ah, the dreaded human hands! Many artists throughout history have struggled in depicting anatomically correct hands. No wonder since hands, which include every artistic element and principle, are perhaps the most complicated part of the body to draw. 

In this workshop we will explore the human hand in depth while discovering useful methods for drawing expressive gestures in correct anatomical proportion. Step-by-step, sequential instruction will ensure an enjoyable, non-intimidating experience.  This one-day workshop is part of a series of three workshops that break down the human figure. They can be purchased as individual stand-alone workshops, or as a three-part intensive to get you started on some of the more challenging aspects of capturing the human figure.

All skill levels are welcome! You do not need to have taken the previous Human Figure workshops in order to succeed in this class.

SUPPLY INFORMATION
All supplies will be provided with the materials fee, although students are welcome to bring their own pencils, erasers, sharpeners, sketch books, etc., if desired.

ABOUT NONIE
Nonie Gaines holds a BFA and is a Certified Art Instructor, award-winning art teacher and artist. She won 2014 Honorable Mention and 2015 Best in Show in the PT Wearable Art Show, and exhibits in local galleries. Her deep experience working with all ages and abilities makes learning art exciting and fun.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will receive a 100% refund (including any materials fee).

Students who withdraw from a course at least seven days prior to its first meeting will receive a 90% refund (less any materials fee).

Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund except in the case of illness or injury, in which case they are eligible to receive a 40% refund (less any materials fee).

Please note that 10% of every course’s registration fee is considered to be a non-refundable deposit in cases of withdrawal to cover administrative overhead.
